David Robertson is the Founder and Executive Director of the Hope is Foundation, an organization that supports local communities, education organizations, and businesses foster resilience and belonging among key stakeholders, ultimately curating a positive organizational culture where people can thrive.

David’s background is in resilience research, and he combines his wealth of knowledge about trauma-informed practices with contemporary methods like restorative practices and wellness writing to support organizations in creating shared experiences that foster belonging and connection. David holds an MA from Northeastern Illinois University and is pursuing graduate training in social work from the Columbia University School of Social Work. He has partnered with and consulted University of Chicago, AmfAR, Berkeley City College, First 5 Alameda, Chicago Department of Public Health, the Aids Healthcare Foundation, among other organizations to enhance the impact of their work with employees and other stakeholders

Employees will develop a competency in Adverse Childhood Experiences.

Employees will engage with the Circle of Courage as an intervention tool to address toxic stress.

Employees will develop the precision to identify the appropriate mental health resources so that that may navigate workplace stressors that tend to trigger unhealthy emotional stimuli.

Employees will incorporate healthy coping behavior into their automatic response reflex, thereby reducing the probability of a negative triggered response.
